About Thomas Bligaard

I use atomic-scale computer simulations to understand materials properties and to design new functional materials. My goal is to develop a methodology for reliably predicting optimal materials for various applications. I am particularly interested in super-alloys, heterogeneous catalysts, electro-catalysts, photo-catalysts, hydrogen storage materials and functional nanostructures.Specialties: Computer programming, development of new exchange-correlation functionals for density functional theory calculations, analytic solutions of multidimensional micro-kinetic differential equations, prediction of methanation catalysts and acetylene hydrogenation catalysts, optimization algorithms.
