About Thomas Bullen
Too often, companies rely on the intuitions or gut-feelings of their highly-regarded managers, directors, and executives, because those intuitions have been successful in growing the business in the past. Soon enough, though, the ground shifts--customers or markets have changed, and intuition is now outdated and faulty. Until recently, this could spell disaster for any business, large or small. But with the advent of big-data, computational analytics, companies no longer have to base decisions on even the most highly informed intuition. It's now possible for a skilled analyst to validate and confirm any suppositions and to provide new insights which can reinforce good intuition and dispel bad intuition. This is the role that I enjoy most--serving as the depth-finder for business decision-makers, helping to keep the whole business on course and out of shallow waters by exploring, understanding, revealing and interpreting all of the data available to the business.
