I introduced new technologies to benefit business, I performed a weekly ‘Walk About’ by the Service Desk supervisor to a random targeted location to speak to the people using the systems. I optimized infrastructure maintenance, for example, Structured RPCI on a 4-year desktop refresh cycle with lease equipment to replace an aging desktop infrastructure to maintain productivity and save money. I re-engineered the tier-one storage model from purchase to a lease model using just the maintenance funds from old equipment to acquire modern next-generation storage for a line of business applications. I introduced a Private Cloud infrastructure and server consolidation project, saving money on power and physical data center space. I initiated operations on the path to ITIL best practices revamping Incident Management and Change Management processes. I formulated a trainee program to mentor and provided advancement of talented people from the Service Desk to fulfill the Infrastructure Teams' needs.
