In private practice, Thomas has handled a broad and inclusive range of commercial litigation, including high-profile banking litigation, business disputes and business torts, estate and trust disputes, contract litigation of all sorts, cost-effective e-discovery efforts, as well as several pro bono engagements. Thomas has excellent legal research, project management, public speaking, and communication skills. Thomas has a relentless work ethic and a tireless resolve to learn new skills and processes.As corporate counsel, Thomas has handled litigation management, commercial contracts, contract review, video surveillance-as-a-service contracting, employment disputes and resolution, intellectual property matters, and review regarding potential corporate transactions; Thomas has hired and managed outside counsel as needed. Contracting includes master services agreements, statements of work, and all related support documentation; recurring revenue contract development, implementation, and management.Outside of the practice of law, Thomas is devoted to serving both the profession and his community. Recently, Thomas served as Chair of the Code & Rules of Evidence Committee of The Florida Bar (2013-14). He has served on the board of directors of his church, and has often served as a volunteer child care worker and as a volunteer at a local food pantry. Thomas serves as the controller for a local non-profit on a volunteer basis.Thomas earned his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law, and graduated in the top ten percent of his class (2006). During law school, he was a Florida Bar Foundation Public Service Law Fellow. In addition, Thomas served as an editor of the Florida Journal of International Law, and as vice president of the Trial Team. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in History, summa cum laude, from the University of Florida, and graduated in the top four percent of his class (2003).
