I am a cyber security analysis and analytics manager with over 7 years of information security experience as an information security analyst and information security specialist. Prior to that I spent 7 years as an IT technician and system administrator. In my information security roles my deepest experience has been in vulnerability management, threat management, and endpoint security monitoring and controls, including PowerShell scripting to pull configuration information and system activity behavior into a custom analytics system to identify anomalies and feed them to a SIEM. I've also begun working with OSINT tools and custom scripts to integrate OSINT data about internal users and external threats into the custom analytics system and our SIEM. This type of work has become my area of passion.I'm not currently looking for a new job, but I'm interested in learning more about what other jobs are out there and how I can improve my skills and experience to continue to advance in my area of passion. I'm also glad to share information with others about SIEM and data analytics, especially unusual data sources, interesting correlations, and anything that's just very, very different.
