Senior Manager - Environmental
CurrentResponsible for implementing and progressing strategy for Union Pacific’s industrial, storm, ground, and potable water quality legal compliance and risk mitigation programs. Serving as the subject matter expert for regulatory requirements applicable to railroad activities, how the activities are conducted and interact with human health and the environment, and how to control compliance, reduce risk and improve environmental performance. Identify and interpret legal requirements applicable to railroad activities, manage change in requirements, design and implement operational controls to ensure full regulatory compliance. Develop operational controls to reduce risk and meet applicable compliance requirements including technical training, standard work, and infrastructure changes. Evaluate activities for risk and prioritize focuses to build long range strategic plans for continuous improvement and risk reduction. establish and manage regulatory program budget and work to evaluate, monitor, and control the total cost of compliance for associated activities.Responsible for completing Union Pacific’s annual GHG emission inventory; GHG emission data collection; GHG emission inventory verification. GHG data reported in several external facing climate & ESG disclosures.
