Planned and executed a 4 month road trip across the United States, visiting every National Park of note. Trip was a planned sabbatical in which I reflected on current and past relationships and accomplishments, both personal and professional, and examined and realigned priorities as required. Amongst all of my experience qualifications, I would list this as the most important experience and qualification of my life. This was a culmination of all of my past experience(s).

Reconciled profit and loss of multi-million dollar construction corporation while defining goal-setting objectives and directing the growth plan of the company. Balanced P&L responsibilities with daily operations including sales, contract management, contract negotiation, project management, bidding, cost estimating, and human resource management. • Negotiated with architect and owner to deliver $18.5 million dollar fast-track private residence.• Increased revenues by > $1 million annually during tenure by redefining company branding, streamlining project delivery process, and refining sales continuum.• Developed bonding program, diversifying company’s portfolio across multiple market segments, thus creating incremental growth opportunities.• Initiated a purchase order tracking system resulting in improved cost estimating and increased profitability.• Initiated sales procedure which improved point-of-contact to contract signing, improving company’s ability to identify strengths vs. weaknesses in sales process, thereby increasing overall company profitability.• Created a quality-control process which was adopted by site superintendants and project managers, documenting inspection and acceptance of “work-in-place”, improving overall client satisfaction. • Established weekly combined management meetings with sales and project management teams to share in corporate goal setting and unifying team in reaching shared accomplishments.• Developed safety program entitled “Work Safe, Work Smart” which rewarded employees by tying annual incentives to the adoption of safe work measures. Managed $70 million dollar private island design/build development project in the Bahama’s. Project elements managed included a large marina, full wind and solar infrastructure for power, road and water infrastructure, and over 10 buildings totaling over 40,000 s.f. of living space. Responsibilities included program and budget development in addition to establishing controls and practices for the entire project in both design and construction. • Managed international construction and design team of over 300 individuals made up of architects, engineers, designers, construction professionals, foremen, contractors, and materialmen, with office locations in Canada, the US, Scotland, Australia, and the Bahamas.• Oversaw design of 3 phases of construction while managing construction for Phase 1 which established crew housing and energy capabilities to construct the permanent island structures, including contracting and oversite of all solar field, wind towers, and battery rooms.• Managed island infrastructure development program including wind and solar power made up of a total of 1,232 solar panel modules equaling 20,900 sq. ft. generating262Kw and (8) “proven” wind generators providing 120Kw of electricity with 540 storage batteries providing approximately 2.49MWh total capacity hours.• Oversaw installation of 3 diesel-powered generators providing backup/emergency power to island with looped electrical system and transformers meeting demands of entire island development.• Oversaw construction of 80,000cu yd. marina dredge and excavation project, which included construction of wharfs, floating docks, and marina build with foundations -8’ below mean high tide. Was successfully completed as part of Phase 2 of developed construction cycle.• Addressed difficulties in material delivery process due to remote location of project and international constraints by introducing material control system.
