As the Lead Software developer I am responsible for all activities conducted by the software team. Tasks include the design, documentation, scheduling, implementation, and delivery of software for the GCMD project. This is done directly through consultation with the customer(s) and the science community requiring both technical and non technical communications skills. Additionally I am also responsible for the development process guidelines as required by first CMMI and then latter by Agile principles.Changes I have overseen are the transition for a development model most again to the “water fall model” to a true agile process with a 2 week sprint.On the management side I have experience managing 4-6 team members with an Agile scheduling process. To fulfill the planning duties I assist the customer with long term planning (1+ years/next FY), maintain the development schedule during the active FY, and the sprint planning for all current and near term sprints.
