Tom is the Chief Financial Officer for ThermoLift, responsible for all fundraising, investor engagement, and financial governance and reporting. Prior to ThermoLift, Tom was a Director of Strategy and Corporate Development for Standex International's Engravings business. In this role, Tom led the development and execution of strategic growth initiatives and corporate development (M&A) opportunities. Prior to Standex, Tom was an Experienced Engagement Team Leader within The Parthenon Group, now a part of EY's Transaction Advisory Services offering. As an advisor to Private Equity and Strategic clients, he focused on pre-transaction strategic and operational diligence as well as pre-exit operational improvement. His focus was in a broad range of industrial sectors and end markets, including automotive, industrial automation, distribution, utilities, energy and others. Prior to Parthenon, Tom worked as a Summer Associate for Liberty Lane Partners, a healthcare and manufacturing focused private equity firm. Here, he advised on the strategic growth opportunities and potential bolt-on acquisitions for the firm’s largest majority-owned portfolio investment. Prior to receiving his MBA, Tom worked as a Financial and Treasury Analyst at Meritor, Inc., a global tier-one automotive supplier to the commercial truck, construction, and military segments. He gained experience in a number of different roles, including business unit finance, treasury/cash management, and also spent just under one year in the company’s Asia-Pacific headquarters to assist improve and streamline financial reporting processes. Tom received an MBA from Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in 2012 and a BA in Finance from Eli Broad School of Business at Michigan State University in 2006.
