Research concerned with optimizing contact resistance in transition metal dialcogenides, two-dimensional semiconductors. I have been tasked with running simulations built on Python, writing several Shell scripts, and implementing Bayesian Optimization to find optimal testing points and a function approximation for these costly simulations. Going forward, the simulation may be built using C/C++ in hopes of increasing the efficiency of the simulations.
