Joining the National Enabling Programmes as a contractor allowed me to focus on the delivery and engagement with forces full time, confident in the knowledge that I’d be able to remain involved for the duration of the project.The engagement with forces was initially to support the local IT teams with their technical implementation of the pre-assured blueprint designs developed by the programme. This covered all aspects of Microsoft 365 but also the delivery of a common identity management platform and delivery of the National Monitoring Centre (NMC), a centralised cyber monitoring capability.Following the technical delivery, the focus switched to enablement; supporting the forces’ business community to understand the capabilities available and how these can be used transform their day-to-day business activities.In addition to supporting forces, I developed the National Solution Catalogue to allow solutions developed with Office 365 to be shared across the country, reducing duplication and supporting standardisation. The Power Platform featured prominently in these solutions with support via national events to encourage the adoption of these capabilities.I developed the national blueprint design for the configuration of the Power Platform to ensure forces can leverage these technologies while remaining within the national risk position.

Focusing on the alignment of services across Norfolk & Suffolk and the Easter Region forces comprising Essex, Kent, Norfolk, Suffolk, Hertfordshire, Bedford Shire & Cambridshire.Working closely with the Police ICT Company to progress natational solutions.

ISG is an international construction services company delivering fit out, construction, engineering services and a range of specialist solutions.Leading the Technology and Architecture function with the goal of designing and delivering solutions to allowing ISG to achieve a competitive advantage within the construction industry.Redefining how the IT Department provides core services to the various business areas, both in the UK and globally. This included the move of the infrastructure hosting and network services to a single supplier; the move to Cloud Services and overall service availability improvements through the use of streamlined processes and procedures.An Architecture Vision was defined, with all corporate projects aligned to ensure business benefit was delivered across the organisation as a whole, implementation and operating costs reduced while still delivering improvements in availability and system performance.

I am a member of the Senior Management Team and report directly to the ICT director and work closely with the Chief Officers Group sitting on a number of organisational boards including Information Management, Strategic Change and the ICT Programme Board.I have designed the new joint Microsoft environment to support the forces’ goal of providing a first class police service. This environment will deliver the very latest Microsoft products to all officers and staff within the two organisations.I advise the East Coast Information Services (ECIS) Group which encompasses the ICT departments of Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Kent Police. This group is tasked with identifying collaborative ICT opportunities between the four forces. In addition, I sit on the Eastern Region Technical Design Authority representing ECIS, I chair the Systems Architecture Design Authority for Project Athena (crime, intelligence, custody & case preparation system) which will be deployed to 12 UK police forces in 2013/14.

The position of Systems Architects reports to the Director of ICT and is responsible for the design and delivery of the constabulary’s technology roadmap.

Poynter provide IT support to medium and large business throughout the UK. I was responsible for the delivery of a wide variety of projects and services including core infrastructure migrations, process change and deployments.

Working as a freelance consultant providing a variety of IT services to small, medium and large organisations including; the British Educational Suppliers Association, Lunn Polly, the British Soft Drink Association, the Food and Drink Federation and the Nigerian Oil Marketing Group.

After the acquisition of Thomas Cook Global and Financial Services by Travelex in 2001 I was TUPE’d to Travelex and tasked with separating the shared infrastructure used by Thomas Cook G&FS and Thomas Cook Holidays.
