Additionally, acted as Site Director for the location and Client Facing Lead for multiple relationships. Direct accountability for all aspects of the Alternative Investment Services' primary west coast office covering Middle Office and Fund Administration services. Managed a team of over 110 professionals servicing 7 client relationships with $150+ billion in assets under administration. Responsible for the delivery of accounting, performance, data management, and end client reporting services to investment management firms across varying fund vehicles and separately managed accounts invested in the following asset classes: Marketable Instruments, Private Equity, Bank Loans, Real Estate, and Agriculture.

Assumed this as an additional responsibility to my operational role in 2010. Responsible for driving the overall strategy on assessing business risks and ensuring a sound control environment to effectively mitigate risk across the business line. In this role, I also pioneered an overall risk framework for the business that included the following:- Operational Risk Profile – assessment of inherent risk at the most granular process level- Control Effectiveness Monitoring – assessment of control design and execution effectiveness through a structured testing program- Risk Intelligence – management reporting to monitor/measure control environment effectiveness (including trapping and risk ranking of all issues/action plans), residual risk assessments, and risk trend analysis to assess risk profile changes over time

Direct operational accountability for all aspects of the Investment Manager Services' west coast operations covering middle and back-office services. Managing a team of over 200 professionals, spanning 15 client relationships, with $600+ billion of assets under administration. Responsible for the provision of trade capture/settlement, portfolio/fund accounting, reconciliation, cash management, performance, investment guideline compliance monitoring, regulatory reporting, tax reporting, client statements, client billing, and data delivery services.

Directly supported the Head of Investment Manager Services in various strategic capacities. Responsible for managing the operating budget (including the provision and oversight of vendors), implementing policy positions for compliance/regulatory matters, managing a technology team (developers and business analysts), facilities management, records management, business continuity, and provision of all client and internal management reporting.

Responsible for a central utility team of 30+ professionals that supported all clients within the Investment Manager Services division. Services supported included: investment guideline compliance monitoring, cash management, client billing, client statements, regulatory reporting, IRA administration, tax reporting, and customized client reporting.

Responsible for internal control reviews of a diverse mix of business lines within the organization, with a heavy emphasis on the investment management business.
