In late 2018 I was fortunate enough to travel to Singapore to test and become a licensed appointed rep with TD Ameritrade Singapore. One of just three client facing Singapore appointed reps based in the US.I get to help bridge the gap between one of the largest established retail brokers TD Ameritrade and the fast paced startup feel of TD Ameritrade Singapore. Due to how I am positions I get to work on a lot of interesting pieces of the two companies. From the basics of account opening to the complexities of portfolio margin and everything in between. Being one of three client facing Singapore appointed reps means the buck stops with me. Daily I speak with I wide range of clients from prospects to eight figure accounts. So needless to say I get a wide range of questions that definitely keep me on my toes. Luckily I have the added support of both TD Ameritrade and TD Ameritrade Singapore so I can do what is right for the client.
