I defend large and small companies against allegations that personal injuries or property damage were caused by defects in the products designed, manufactured or distributed by the company. This work also includes product liability advice in aviation litigation. I consistently work with my clients to discuss alternative fee arrangements and how LeClairRyan can make them work for both the firm and the client. These business partnerships result in the client's legal services spend ending up with better results, faster turnarounds, and lower cost.I am the National Coordinating Counsel for claims against a consumer product manufacturer. I administer the program in all 50 states, as well as defending the company in several states through LeClairRyan's national footprint. I have close relationships with several other companies, and I perform or have performed national, regional and local defense and coordination for those companies.Internally at LeClairRyan, I am the Chair of the Product Liability and Transportation Practice Area Team, leading an extremely talented group of 60+ attorneys resident in almost every office of LeClairRyan.LeClairRyan has approximately 370 lawyers resident in offices in California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. My position with the former Pitney Hardin did not change, but the name of the firm did as of January 1, 2007. I was pleased with the firm in both its former and present configurations, but sought a different platform to fit my practice.

My experience with Pitney Hardin included product liability, insurance coverage, general civil litigation, and workers' compensation defense. My practice evolved from an attorney assigned specific tasks to one who ran attorney teams with little to no supervision.
