Leading a team of amazing engineers to reduce production bugs to near-zero in a server side Angular application by introducing NGRX, RXJS and Jest unit testing coverage, teaching observable patterns, and working with QA to establish thorough end to end tests.By iterating quickly on SSR Angular with established order of operations, systemized debugging, and pagespeed scores, we were able to identify areas where we could improve application performance by beginning to move toward a React framework and micro-UIs. I was brought in to bring the company's front-end applications out of AngularJS 1.4 and into the modern reactive era. Within the first month of working for the company, I helped them modify older applications to enable Silvercar to rent out Q5 vehicles, drastically increasing revenue. Immediately afterward, I rewrote a proof of concept of the rental car booking application entirely in Angular5 with NGRX. We then proceeded to rewrite the entire application in React with Redux. Before I began, the old application had no unit tests. The new React application has 62% unit test coverage and was completed within 6 months. I also built it to be mobile responsive. I then proceeded to rewrite internal tools necessary for managing the Silvercar fleet entirely in Angular7, NGRX, and RxJS with unit test coverage of >70% including one application for managing promotion codes which was rewritten in a month and a second, larger application which was released just this month.Developing cutting edge Angular7/ NGRX/ RxJS and React/ Redux/ Redux Thunk applications.Highly test driven with unit and e2e testing. Principal Engineer for Alert Logic, leading and mentoring a team of User Experience professionals and User Interface Developers in design, cognitive efficiency, and Angular4/Material2 application development. I serve as technical lead and mentor to dozens of UI and UX engineers and set standards and practices across our company. We are pioneering the science of delivering rapid UX iterations in an agile environment which are all based off scholarly cited UX studies and articles on human cognition, pattern recognition, and A/B/n variant testing of user interaction in our application.Our applications have been built entirely in AngularJS & Angular, using unit tests with Jasmine, CSS3 animations and styles written with inherited SCSS and icon fonts.All research is documented, reference with UX deliverables, and tested for validity. Together, we have proven out a workflow for rapid UX work that leads directly to scientifically-established and test-validated interaction in an enterprise application with features created in 2-week sprints rather than months or years that it takes at other companies.
