WorldCC is a global not-for-profit membership association. As part of their current systems strategy, they are migrating their data to a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution. Prior to migrating the data, they are undertaking a data cleansing exercise to ensure they do not migrate any dirty data to the new CRM. My role first required me to learn how to operate their existing CRM solution and understand how the system’s screen for each member’s profile can be manipulated in accordance with what changes are needed. I constantly refer between excel documents with thousands of lines of membership information and the individual profiles to change things like occupation level, industry, and organisation code. This work has helped develop my excel skills, and also taught me how to use new software efficiently and consistently to complete a variety of tasks. I have learnt valuable corporate lessons through my interactions with colleagues in both one-to-one and wider group teams meetings. I have also benefitted in enhancing my time management and organisational skills, since I have had to manage this role simultaneously with my university degree.

I worked at Shendish Manor when I came back from university for holidays, gaining experience in all aspects of running the venue. The work included bartending, being front-of-house in the restaurant and working on the golf reception and clubhouse. This helped develop my customer service skills, requiring me to communicate with customers effectively. I was also involved in event management, preparing the venue, deciding on appropriate stock, and ensuring everything is in place to deliver to strict time schedules.
