Through a certain amount of age, grace and other humbling experiences, I have developed an interest and expertise in addiction medicine. This past March, I became board certified in addiction medicine by the American Board of Addiction Medicine.A strong clinical and educational background along with many years of experience has enhanced my understanding of addiction as a disease that requires a multifaceted treatment approach. It is important to not only practice the science of evidence-based medicine utilized in treatment, but also to practice the art of approaching patients and guiding them through the arduous process of recovery.
