I had oversight for quality management, utilization management and pharmacy. Additionally, I provided medical direction for the operations of physician practices and had operational responsibility for the group’s hospitalist program at two Clarian hospitals.

PersonalCare was a managed care company owned by Provena Health (now Presence Health), a Catholic health system. It provided HMO/POS/PPO insurance to 90,000 people and had revenues of $175 million. Most senior executive within Provena Health and primary responsibility for the strategic and operational direction for the medical management of full capitation risk contracts as well as system-wide initiatives. This included the direction of quality improvement, credentialing, utilization and care (case, disease, demand, and population) management, pharmacy benefit management, provider relations, network development, provider contracting and corporate compliance.
