Tom Jones provided Consulting System Engineer support for the sales team in the Ohio Valley region for FireEye. This includes both pre-sales and post-sales support, doing presentations, and representing FireEye at various network security events.Tom was recently a Professional Services Engineer for Savvius (formerly WildPackets). He supported sales teams in US and Canada and conducted workshops and training sessions on packet capture and analysis products. He assisted in installation and setup of purchased and evaluation products for customers.Tom worked for Meru Networks from the beginning of 2012 through March of 2013. Through July he was a System Engineer, and then became a Field Support Engineer supporting projects throughout the US and Canada.Tom was employed by D-Link Systems as a Field Sales Engineer from January 2008 to October 2011. He supported two sales teams throughout the Midwest and Ohio Valley.Tom developed and taught a Networking Tract of eight classes at Cleveland State University Continuing Education Department. He has also been a Cisco Certified Academy Instructor (CCAI) and an Adjunct Faculty member at both Lorain County Community College and Cuyahoga County Community College for Cisco Academy classes and other computer network classes.Tom is a licensed PE (Electrical) and with credentials from BICSI as an RCDD and also as a Network Transport Systems Specialist. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional and has completed the Network+ and Security+ Certifications from CompTIA. In addition to CCAI, Tom has achieved Cisco certifications for CCDA, CCNA, CCDP, CCNP, and Wireless LAN Support Specialist. He has achieved various vendor specific certifications from previous employers. He is a member of the Cleveland Chapter of InfraGard and also a member of CyberCops. Tom has a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and a Masters Degree in Engineering Management from Cleveland State University.
