I am a registered patent attorney and self-apprenticed blacksmith. As a patent attorney with 20+ years of experience, I've worked in diverse technology areas including medical devices, renewable energy and electric power generation, consumer products, Internet and computer products, semiconductor fabrication and telecommunications. As a blacksmith, I'm just learning to master the basics of the craft.My practice involves litigation, both defending against and enforcing patents, preparing and prosecuting patent applications, post-grant proceedings before the USPTO and counseling clients in positioning and maintaining worldwide patent portfolios, clearing products, and avoiding or settling litigation. What I enjoy most in my practice is helping clients build value through strategic portfolio development and solve challenging IP-related problems. .
