About Thomas Donnelly

Tom began work in the peace and conflict field in 2007 and has previously held positions with Concordis International, the American Friends Service Committee, Oxfam, Saferworld and the Oxford Research Group. He lived in Myanmar and Thailand between 2013-2023 and has significant experience in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Nigeria and Pakistan, along with more limited experience in India (Assam), Cambodia, DRC, Ethiopia, Georgia, Kenya, Kosovo, Nepal, Philippines (Mindanao), Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Sudan and Sudan. Before entering the peace and conflict field, Tom worked with street homeless people in the UK. He has a degree in Philosophy from the University of Leeds, a Masters in Peace Studies from the University of Bradford, is an accredited mediator with the UK Civil Mediation Council and a member of the Association of Northern Mediators. In 2022, he was accepted into the UNDP’s Peace and Development Advisor roster. He enjoys board games, rock climbing, hiking and (in the past) living on a boat.
