• Designed, assembled, and tested an interface-able test fixture replicating the inputs of a robotic surgical system, allowing for full articulation, motor-powered firing, and positional lockout of a surgical stapling device to support reverse engineering efforts and test procedure development, utilizing DFMA and tight tolerance design skills• Designed, assembled, and tested a test fixture and created a test procedure to collect deflection data of a critical surgical stapler component during operation, resulting in the ability to inform surgeons of quantifiable best use practices and procedures to improve staple line formation and patient outcomes, utilizing Arduino and MATLAB programming skills• Designed, assembled, and tested several tensile test mounting fixtures, allowing for regulated medical device tensile testing to be conducted on products of complex geometries, utilizing strong tight tolerance design and DFMA skills• Designed, assembled, and tested an air leakage test fixture, allowing for adherence to regulated testing of air leakage and pressure difference across a critical valve within a trocar device to be done in-house• Created several technical component drawings supporting the design and manufacturing of a new surgical device
