I'm an Engineer within WSP's Communities Discipline delivering highway design work for Local Authority clients in the UK; particularly active travel and sustainable transport projects across Dorset. I lead WSP's Future Ready Sustainability programme for Local Authority Clients and sit on the Local Government Client Sustainability Working Group with responsibility for infrastructure carbon quantification and assessment processes.I graduated with an MEng in Civil Engineering from the University of Southampton in 2020 throughout which I received corporate sponsorship from WSP and held a place on the Royal Academy of Engineering's Engineering Leaders Scholarship. Alongside work I am currently reading for an MSc in Sustainable Development with Ecological Economics at the University of Surrey. I'm interested more widely in economic and political systems and their impact on achieving global prosperity and sustainability; exploring how governments and business might function, and societies might live, in a way that ensures individual and societal health and wellbeing within the inherent ecological boundaries of the planet.My perspective draws on research from the Stockholm Resilience Centre's Planetary Boundaries, Doughnut Economic theory, the Wellbeing Economy Alliance, the Club of Rome and the Centre for the Understanding Sustainable Prosperity.I sit on the Board of Trustees and Chair an international development charity, Cameroon Catalyst, who are currently delivering a programme of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH) projects across some of the least developed communities in Cameroon.I am professionally registered as a Graduate Member with the Institution of Civil Engineers and trained in Social Return on Investment techniques with Social Value UK.
