I am responsible for development and maintenance of the core engine within CCBill EU. This includes the creation of new features as well as updating and maintaining old features, whilst making sure that the automated unit testing is up to date.The most valued skills I acquired in this position is the use of frameworks such as Hibernate, Spring, maven and Jibx. I was also responsible for the design and implementation of an automated test harness for this core application. This framework is currently going to be used company wide. It is a UML to JPBM converter which in turn creates the classes needed to test a system. I am responsible for analysing and understanding new and existing software components, gathering test requirements and producing test specifications. I develop and maintain automated test scripts. I produce test reports giving feedback on reported faults in the software. I review technical and user documentation. I am currently a product specialist on a flagship product of EMB. The technical experience acquired was that of getting hands on experience on automated GUI testing using TestComplete. In this position I learned how to interact with clients, most of all to help build the user acceptance tests. I have also spent the last year building a test infrastructure for the new pricing suite. I was responsible for analysing the architecture of the systems being built, targeting any potential problems and also creating a number of test cases that would be developed to ensure the system being created would be of a high standard. I was responsible for scheduling the test case development for a team of four testers as well as creating a number of tests that would prove that the software defects found could be reproduced. I was responsible for analysing functional and non functional documentation, deriving and creating test data, regression, load, stress and integration testing of each system being tested. All testing tools were created in house by my team and I. The skills acquired in this position are various; the most important skill I acquired was that of experiencing the testing life cycle as a whole. The technical experience acquired was that of getting hands on experience on Unix systems, developing test tools in Java and .Net, using third party testing tools, creating generic testing tools that could be used in different systems and acquiring experience on integration tests between many large systems on Unix servers.
