A BSc Accounting and Finance Undergraduate | Aspiring ACCA qualified accountant. With a grade B in A levels Mathematics (with statistics) and an A in Level 3 diploma in finance. Now gaining knowledge in the subject area I have been working towards since a young age.Although skills learned through my time in industry, while work shadowing the accounts team of a law firm during A levels, have been beneficial so far academically, the transferable skills learned through 3 years of chef work have assisted me greatly. Working well in high pressure environments, thinking on my feet and having to meet a high level of quality every time are all crucial when going into the world of finance and ultimately fulfilling my potential. An economics society member, benefiting massively from talks by esteemed financial institutions and events available to the members. With insights from Bank of England Future Talent Programmes, an online JP Morgan talk as well as a talk from KPMG in a module lecture.I am also a huge sport man, playing district level football and captaining both Kent league teams and school teams. Collecting awards for contributions towards sport during my time in secondary schools into A levels. I spend a lot of time down the gym and believe personal growth and confidence is key to anything you do in life, taking pride in what I do on a day-to-day basis.
