My legal practice is focused on employment law and technology law and ethics.I work as an attorney at Fiedler Law Firm, PLC, where I advocate for workers who have experienced violations of their rights. I have over 15 years of legal experience, representing workers, businesses, county and state governments, and Native American tribes in various matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contracts, litigation, and risk management. I have handled state and federal cases at both the trial and appellate levels.I also served as an award-winning professor of business law and ethics at Creighton University, where I taught about and researched on the legal and ethical challenges posed by emerging technologies in the business world. I have published and presented on topics related to algorithmic bias, artificial intelligence, data science ethics, and other forms of technology-based employment discrimination. I serve on the Executive Committee of the NSBA's Technology, Privacy, and Security Law Committee and was recently appointed to the NSBA's Ad Hoc Committee on Technology. One of my goals is to educate lawyers and law students about the challenges posed by artificial intelligence and algorithmic decision making.Learn more at www.thomasfreeman.com
