About Tom Galvin

I've been active in the physical security industry since 2001 as a tech founder, executive and independent technology consultant.I am passionate about the industry's evolution from legacy CCTV systems to modern network and cloud-based video solutions that leverage computer vision and AI to add value to enterprise businesses. I've enjoyed working with many talented colleagues and partners to successfully build companies and new video management solutions. I led a team to develop the first network camera certification tool for the Open Network Video Interface Forum. I am the inventor on 9 US patents. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business.
