I am a policy advisor at VARIO, the Flemish Advisory Council for Innovation and Enterprise, where I provide evidence-based and strategic advice to the Flemish Government and Parliament on all matters related to research, development, innovation, and entrepreneurship. With over 15 years of experience in photonics research and education, I bring a strong scientific and technological background and a passion for R&I to my current role.As a policy advisor, I lead and co-lead various advice trajectories, on topics as patents, international orientation, and transformative innovation policy. I also co-organize events to foster dialogue among different stakeholders. My mission is to contribute to the reinforcement of the technology position and the innovation ecosystem of Flanders and the EU, and to support its societal and economic transformation.
