About Thomas Gorissen

Based out of Singapore since 2010, I spent the last 24 years re-thinking, designing and building digital products and technology teams in industries such as e-commerce, finance, advertising, communication and alternative assets.As a technology management consultant, advisor and angel I assist technology driven businesses in navigating the opportunities and risks of developing and scaling ambitious web platforms and services with a focus on excellent customer experience. Maybe best known for leading the effort to develop Redmart's ground-breaking online grocery store experience that lead into the acquisition by Lazada, I have been mentoring at Asia's leading tech incubators and venture firms, such as JFDI, Jungle Ventures and Sequoia.My past and ongoing engagements include projects with enterprises such as DBS and Standard Chartered as well as maturing startups such as Glints and Healint.For more than 10 years I'm organising Southeast Asia's largest and most influential web and mobile developer conference, JSConf.Asia, and am proud how my team and I have helped to lift Southeast Asia onto the global stage of web development.
