In this summer internship role I was shadowing industry professionals in both the acquisition and investment management branches of the company. To name a few things that i was able to accomplish was underwriting broker deals, completing in-depth market surveys on Southeastern properties, attending pipeline meetings as well as investment management meetings, developing skills through excel assignments, analyzing market data as well as my own, speak on the phone with property managers and tour properties with supervisors and brokers. A few of the tools I used and became proficient at were AXIO RealPage, Costar, RedIQ, LandGlide, Microsoft Excel and Word. This role gave me incredible insight of the commercial multi-family sector of the industry and challenged me with hands on experiences and equipped me with the knowledge needed to understand the market.

In this role, I was tasked with researching, finding, and inputting data for grocery anchored shopping centers in the Southeastern region of the United States. The main goal was to update information on over 2,500 properties though sources such as Costar, RCA, and government parcel database websites. This role helped me gain insight into commercial real estate analytics, the tools needed and used by industry professionals, understanding and utilizing the data through making proactive inferences correlating to found results.
