I was able to see the development of our Color Multi-jet Fusion 580 technology from inception of test beds through product development and production. Some highlights I remember over this journey included our first color printed parts, our first integration of our long term firmware architecture as well as the tooling we put in place to be able to manufacture and support units in the field. My job during this time had a wide variety of duties, from helping select architectural choice points of our system design to tactical electrical and mechanical design feasibility guidance. During this time I was a mentor to many of the younger firmware developers who were not familiar with HP's firmware architecture or knowledgeable in navigating the waters of HP's continually changing culture.
