Born in London, England but raised in Dublin, Ireland, Thomas Hefferon grew up with a fascination of storytelling and the moving picture. A self-taught filmmaker, his short films have played at hundreds of major international film festivals, winning a slew of awards along the way.Moving into advertising he quickly established himself, directing campaigns for Jameson, Jaguar and Land Rover, Johnson & Johnson and a whole host of other major global brands. After relocating to Los Angeles and continuing to do bigger advertising campaigns, Thomas moved back into the film world. Along with his writing partner TJ Hundtofte, Thomas is currently in active development on a science fiction thriller with one of Hollywood’s top film producers, Lucas Foster (‘Crimson Tide’, ‘Mr. & Mrs Smith’, and ‘Jumper’), with a prospective release date of the spring 2021.Towards the end of 2018 Thomas started working with X2 Games, a gaming tech company founded by Nolan Bushnell (the founder of Atari and inventor of Pong) and Zai Ortiz (who designed the look of Jarvis from Iron Man). Bringing his expansive knowledge of emotional storytelling to the company, Thomas worked on the story side of their debut game, a neo-noir murder mystery called ‘St. Noire’. In addition to this he also helped to craft a marketing campaign to showcase the unique world of St. Noire through a series promo films for the game.Thomas is currently working on two new narrative driven games with X2 Games, as well as several film projects with Sean Harner, Lucas Foster and TJ Hundtofte.
