I am skilled at business manager with a passion for driving social change. I believe business can be profitable while being ethical, and that all business should be striving for inclusive growth. I am interested in (among other things) Corporate Ethics, Impact Investing and Market Systems Development.Throughout my time as Chief Operations Officer at The Whitelum Group I helped to found the company, and grow it from a micro-enterprise to a medium-sized organisation. My role has involved overseeing and managing our rapid growth in the past 3 years, actively preparing us for what comes next, while continuing to keep our day-to-day operations on track. As an executive of the company I have also provided strategic direction to the company and helped to ensure we remain a first-class supplier to government, NGOs, and the private sector.I completed my Bachelor of Commerce (Management and Marketing) and Master of Social Policy at the University of Melbourne. As the only student in my Master’s Degree from a commerce background, I explored how private enterprise fits within a social policy framework, and how corporations can lead on social issues outside of government intervention. This included a minor thesis on improving value chain efficiency in global while pursuing social outcomes through a unified approach to both.
