I am recently moved to my home state of Minnesota.I have experience working in satellite communications (SATCOM), supply, logistics, managing a department, maintenance, and human resources. I have been an infantry squad leader and deployed my squad with the rest of the unit to Bosnia. I have been a team chief and an assistant team chief. I deployed my team to Iraq and conducted multiple tactical (mobile) SATCOM missions around the country. I have been an assistant shift supervisor and often filled the role of shift supervisor and occasionally the watch officer at an Earth terminal (teleport). I held a SECRET clearance that expired May 2018.I have worked with modems (OM-73, MD-945, MD-1029, L3, iDirect, LinkWay), up-converters, down-converters, high powered amplifiers (HPA), low noise amplifiers (LNA or LNB)) switches, multiplexers (TD-1337, TD-1389, Timeplex and Promina), MIDAS, Orderwire (RT-1287/TSC), Fault Monitoring Unit (FMU), Antenna Control Unit (ACU), various Trunk Encryption Devices (TED), MILSTAR, Cesium, and AN/USC-28.I utilized X-Band, Ka-Band and Ku-Band with 8-foot, 16-foot, and 20-foot mobile satellite dishes, 60-foot permanent satellite dishes, Secure Mobile Anti-Jam Reliable Tactical Terminal (SMART-T) satellite dish, SATCOM Transportable Trailer (STT), line of sight antennas (LOS), omni-directional antennas, and High Capacity Line of Sight (HCLOS) antennas.I have utilized spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, oscilloscopes, Fireberd, attenuators, multimeters, cable tester (Fluke), and satellite simulators to test, measure, calibrate and troubleshoot equipment.I am proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and have created several Access databases, Excel spreadsheets and Word documents with complex mail merge functions. I have also created PowerPoint presentations, some Visio files, and Adobe Acrobat forms.I have my Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with HAZMAT, Tanker, Doubles and Triples, and Passenger endorsements on my license. I also have my TWIC and FAST credentials. My hobby for the last 20 years has been genealogy research of my family. I have also completed research for other friends' family history.
