I am an MSc Biodiversity & Conservation student at Lancaster University and a BSc Biology graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University. My academic focus is on wildlife animal behaviour, specifically how anthropogenic inputs effect animal behaviour. I have previously undertaken volunteer work in reforestation projects with the goal to sequester carbon and provide habitats in the local ecosystem. I have 3+ years experience in retail with The Body Shop in which I was promoted to a Team Leader role where I gained invaluable leadership and management skills.I am passionate about all things to do with the environment and wildlife, shown through my studies, volunteering, work and lifestyle choices. I have geared my entire academic journey towards working in the environmental conservation sector. I will be satisfied with my career if I can continually make positive changes for the environment and wildlife.Outside of my studies, I am currently undertaking German classes at Lancaster University. I am also a keen musician and have played the guitar for 15+ years.Finally, I would implore anyone reading this to get involved in citizen science projects near you. Getting out in nature is the single greatest mental health boost and also is a great help to science monitoring projects around the world!
