I have a small law firm that aspires to help small-to-medium sized businesses and the community we live in. Our offices are located at Hula Lakeside on the waterfront in Burlington, Vermont. We strive to help clients in a way that is different from how most law firms serve their clients, looking beyond purely legal issues to the business in its entirety. We handle the legal issues (and refer out legal problems outside the scope of our expertise), but also make introductions others in the community who can support our clients in ways that have nothing to do with the law. At Moody Advisors, our clients include companies in a wide range of industries, including software, renewable energy, robotics, cybersecurity, food and beverage, consumer packaged goods, financial services, media and industrial products. We cover most aspects of business law but focus on investment transactions, business formations, and mergers and acquisitions. Our clients also include some of our community’s top tech companies and some of its most prolific individual investors. I have enjoyed giving back to the greater-Burlington business community through several recent projects. I am a founder and board member of the Dudley Fund, a community-oriented venture capital fund created in 2021 to assist early-stage Vermont businesses to get started and to create new job opportunities for Vermonters. In 2020 and 2021, I helped in the early stages of the formation of the Bank of Burlington, the first newly chartered Vermont bank since 1989. I am a founder and past board member of the Richard Tom Foundation, a long-time member of the board of the Green Mountain Bicycle Club, founder of the Green Mountain Stage Race and long-time Race Director of the Burlington Downtown Criterium bike race. I enjoy most outdoor sports, especially cycling, sailing, wing foiling, windsurfing and alpine skiing.
