The terms "servant leadership" and "balance" best describe my focus on engineering team members, customers, and company. Although I possess a goal-oriented and results-driven management style, I don’t believe that the quality of the customer experience or of an employee’s work and personal life has to be compromised or sacrificed to attain company success.In fact, I know that my passion for, and focus on, pleasing the customer directly leads to our overall success. I personally view engineers on my team as my customers. When I devote my time and effort toward their professional and personal development, they can then completely focus on pleasing their customers, which can be any individual or group outside of the engineering team itself; anyone that needs our support and expertise. I experience the greatest excitement and satisfaction when these personal and professional goals of the team can then be aligned with the performance and financial goals of our customers and of the company – creating a “win-win” scenario for all parties.My extensive experience with toll-gate, or time-based, project management has provided the foundation for the “balance” previously mentioned. New product development processes and project management tools have been developed and followed on a daily basis throughout my career – I know what needs to be done, how to get it done, and how long it will take.
