I began my career at Clipper Magazine in the summer of 1992 as a sales rep opening their first market in New Jersey. Since then I've sold ads and advised local SMB's throughout the state. I've hired, trained and led sellers and managers as I excelled at every professional level in the organization and was promoted to VP in 2004. Since that time I've been an integral part of Clipper's company wide, training, growth and strategy, leading teams throughout the northeast and remotely. While with Clipper through acquisitions and change I've been a part of Gannett Media, Tegna and Valassis sales organizations.

After starting as an Acctg. intern while attending college I quickly grew to a FT position as Comptroller and then to Director of their Cinnaminson, NJ campus. Here i gained valuable experience in teaching, training, sales, supervising and career development. After briefly leaving STI in 1987 for a Director position for a school in Atlanta, Ga, I returned in 1988 to their Wilkes-Barre campus and while Director there I was responsible for opening campuses in Scranton and Allentown, Pa. In the Spring of 1991 I helped launch a new direct mail advertising division for them, and this new business became my passion and eventually led me to Clipper Magazine

My first management experience began when i moved to South New Jersey to begin college in the fall of 1982. I was hired PT at a McDonald's franchise and shortly promoted to FT as a night shift manager. While only about 3 years combined, I spent time in the 80's managing not only here but in retail for Wee Three Records and eventually Georgia's largest Arby's franchisee. This experience showed me the complexities of managing high turnover youthful teams. Motivation and Leadership are vital for managing groups in this area and this helped prepare me for managing sales teams in the future.
