Level 1/2 Technical Support Engineer, including 24/7 after-hours alert monitoring & escalations• Working as an external contractor through OpSys, providing technical services/support for Telstra & VAILO Adelaide500.• Regular onsite network hardware installs & configuration; including routers, switches, access points (APs), telephony equipment, CCTV devices, network patching and UPS battery replacements.• Providing Electrical Test & Tag services.• Extensive ICT documentation, project support & creating/maintaining customer server & network diagrams.• Extensive M365 administration, configuration & support, license management/procurement, Microsoft partner support vendor escalation.• Wide-scale enterprise hardware, software & mobile device roll-outs, including use of UniFi/Meraki/Apple MDMs and proactive asset/lifecycle management in-line with ITIL.• Managing & monitoring important server, web & database backups, in-line with required guidelines for Defence & Government clients.• Providing training to clients onsite for use of various enterprise software packages, Citrix/Horizon virtual desktops, VPN clients and AV conferencing equipment.

In this dynamic role, you will serve as the first point of contact for customer service via phone & email, while also monitoring alerts and managing ticketing systems. You will work in a fast-paced environment, balancing Helpdesk support, IT projects, and server & security monitoring.The position involves significant customer interaction, both virtually and in-person, at various client sites across South Australia. You will work on diverse tasks, including computer hardware, networking, telephony, and cybersecurity-related platforms. The role requires working across a widely vendor-neutral ecosystem.Responsibilities: • Provide first-line customer service and technical support via email & phone. • Monitor and respond to support requests & alerts from ticketing systems (Autotask & JIRA). • Work across Helpdesk support, IT projects, server management, and security monitoring. • Engage with clients both virtually and on-site, providing a high level of customer service. • Support and troubleshoot across various platforms, including but not limited to: Platforms & Technologies: • 3CX – Telephony Systems & Virtual Appliances • Acronis – Cloud Storage, Backup, and Data Protection • Cisco – Switches, Routers, Access Points (APs), and Meraki MDM • Citrix – Virtual Desktop Appliances • Fortinet – Firewalls & Routers • Microsoft – Exchange, Office365, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, Windows Desktop & Server • Sophos – XG Firewalls & VPN Clients • Ubiquiti – UniFi Wireless, CCTV & Edge Routing/Switching Appliances • VMware – Server Virtualization & Horizon VDI Additional Experience:Exposure to network security software suites such as Elastic, FireEye, Sophos, ProofPoint, Carbon Black and Webroot.
