Delivering digital products for Radical Company, a true blood digital innovation agency.LONDON STOCK EXCHANGEComplete redesign of their dotcom. Led the Radical team from vision through into detailed design with a complex set of client stakeholders. Entirely new site design, content strategy and massively improved UX over a wide range of complex data search and visualisation tools. Included work around GDPR requirements for user sign-up.Design and delivery of the new platform for the exchange's clients. True cloud product on AWS Lambdas. From concept I led the full-stack agile delivery of the platform through new internal processes to live usage by over 2000 organisations. A beautiful and highly usable product that brings together over 6 discrete data services into a single experience.LLOYDS COMMERCIAL BANKOver the course of 18 months I led 7 engagements. Work included leading visioning workshops, design-only prototyping, agile coaching and full-stack software delivery.Design and developed a client-facing tool for their Relationship Managers. A powerful data tool to visualise the working capital of a company and possible future scenarios. The tool has become the centre of a truly differentiating proposition for the bank.EXPERIANThrough story mapping I took the client from concept to a product which was viable commercially and technically. Led the Radical team through the design of this KYC & ID&V legal compliance software.OFGEM + ENERGY INNOVATION CENTRE (EIC)EIC approached Radical with an idea for a home energy solution startup. I imagined the digital experience which would bring it to life. 10 week design & full-stack build of functional prototype. Designed a custom home energy saving calculation engine.EIC won £2m of further OFGEM funding based on the live test of the prototype.

Facilitation of Smart Building visioning, and then turning that vision into business, functional and non-functional requirements documents. Leaning heavily on the UX and software crafting skills and techniques which I've developed over many years of delivery.Clients include one of the largest property development firms in the UK.

Senior Project Manager working at the media organisation UBM, project highlights:PRODUCT OWNERTook the exhibition space sales iPad app from prototype to production. First product in the company to reach all 3 global divisions. First agile project within the company globally. Spent 3 days at an exhibition living the life of my customer (sold a lot of exhibition space).TECHNOLOGY PROGRAMME MANAGERLed the tech for £13m office fitout project. Accidently created the smartest building in Europe. Won awards. Combination of my knowledge of the construction process and User Experience design. See case studies below.

Project highlight:Bespoke CRM for Department of Works and Pensions (DWP)The system would handle hundreds of thousands of sensitive records of the most vulnerable persons. The DWP’s security framework closely matched ISO 27001, I led the project successfully through the security audit process. Initially working as lead PM and Technical Business Analyst before switching to Service Delivery Manager in production. The new CRM was developed off-shore (Vietnam) using a waterfall approach. It was painful, but we got it done.Coded in Silverlight the system presented us with a number of challenges in making the application accessible to screen reading tools such as NVDA & JAWS and the voice control of Dragon NaturallySpeaking. I drafted the technical specification for the main UI, allowing the tools to ‘see’ the application as well as refining font and colour selections for readability. I learnt a huge amount about accessibility during my time at Shaw Trust.

Puretwelve Recycling; a fully licensed WEEE (Waste Electrical) recycler. Processed over 30 tonnes of waste in a year. Refurbished over 2000 laptops. Specialists in data destruction. Created an Environment Agency approved set of processes to ensure that the duty-of-care for our clients was fulfilled. Acquired a FTSE 250 client on the strength of the system and documentation.Started business, ran business, folded business. Learnt lots.

Developed from being a good sysadmin to a great PM. Learnt lots about construction process.
