Camp Lejeune, North Carolina

-Acquired rank of Corporal, Secret security clearance, and for the time stationed aboard Camp Lejeune, held two different billets simultaneously, Motor Transport Non Commissioned Officer (NCO) and HAZMAT (Hazardous Material) NCO. -As Corporal, oversaw at any given time, between 15 and 20 junior Marines. Along with other Corporals, we would lead the Marines directly in the accomplishment of whatever assigned task, or tasks, that was required to complete mission. -As HAZMAT NCO, was required to build up the units HAZMAT program from the ground up, as a year of poor leadership left the unit without one, and in violation of Marine Corps regulations. After establishment of program, the unit was able to report and hazardous materials or spills in our compound, allowing us to fall in line with Marine Corps regulation.-As Motor Transport NCO, I acted as the dispatcher for the unit and was charged with ensuring the continued operation of our units vehicles, which were mission critical pieces of gear.
