Profile bio

About Tom Ketcham

I am an experienced problem-solver at scale, focused on tackling high-stakes, “impossible” technical projects related to high-volume data analysis and anomaly/fraud detection. I have also built and managed businesses from the start-up phase to over 1,500 employees, and invented key technologies in the statistical analysis of human activity using Artificial Intelligence, with applications ranging from cybersecurity and identity to diagnostics for disease and concussion recovery. I have 9 issued patents and 4 patents pending. I am skilled in both managing and growing teams, as well as performing the hands-on work. Though I have held a number of leadership positions, as a true player-coach, titles are not important to me.At George Mason University, I co-founded a GIS/urban-planning laboratory that led to my first commercial venture. I was an early pioneer on the web in 1993, and have designed countless solutions from novel data capture systems and visualization components to detect fraud and irregularities, to large-scale data warehouses and data lakes, to enterprise technology suites for critical information management. I have invented many key software technologies now found inside offerings of companies like Fujitsu, EMC, and others. I've consulted with Microsoft, Johnson & Johnson, Capital One, IHS Global Insight, the US House of Representatives, and the US Navy, among others, on orchestrating and analyzing the flow, security, and validation of information in their systems. I am a proud father of four, regular speaker at industry events, a published photographer, and an active leader in various education committees focusing on special education, equity, and gifted services.

Listed skills include Start Ups, Software Development, Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, and 24 others.
