After the end of my internship I was presented with the opportunity to work for State Farm part time throughout the school year as part of a Co-Op. During the Fall Semester, I had the opportunity to further my work with the Application Integration team where I prioritized a lot of my time and transitioning their environments to a single certificate in Route53. I also had the opportunity to implement a new environment into their production environment which involved adding additional components to multiple different aspects of their workspaces including, but not limited to, acceptance testing, communication and registration APIs, command line interfaces, and more. I was later given the opportunity to work on something more data-driven and given the chance to pull data useful to the company via AWS Lambda functions, GitLab API, and more.As my Co-Op continued I was presented with the opportunity to further my work alongside a new team with a focus on DevOps and I have since been learning and developing new skills that revolve around their work!

Started as a Software Engineering Intern in May 2022 with the Application Integration Team at State Farm where I created multiple sandbox environments, simplifying the process for the team and other developers. I documented the creation process, deploying a new sandbox as a proof of concept.I took on refinement stories, optimizing AWS RDS for sandbox environments, reducing database costs by over 33%. Streamlined GitLab CI files, condensing templated stages and reducing runtime. Facilitated a wildcard certificate and new hosted zones in Route 53, unifying sandbox environments under one hosted zone for clarity.Utilized AWS, GitLab, Terraform, Docker, and more for these achievements. Additionally, I participated in State Farm Hack Day, developing State Farm ReConnect—a website enhancing employee connections as the company transitioned back to in-person work.

Aided Professor Walden in her teaching of the Elements of Computing course at the University of Notre Dame. The course is a base level Computer Science course that revolves around Python including its syntax, data structures, and libraries. In this position, I attend lectures every Thursday to provide in-class support for the students, as well as, holding multiple office hours throughout the week that can be held in-person, over zoom, or via Slack.
