Coaching - Financial and RunningAs I settle into retirement I have been working on two coaching certifications that offer credibility to a couple of my passions, Finances and Fitness (running)Financial Coaching - Dave Ramsey Certified.I’ve been financially blessed more than I deserve after struggling with credit card debt, finding the best insurance solutions, paying off my mortgage, saving for retirement, accumulating wealth (however you define that) and learning to give generously. I had to change my behavior, be persistent and remain patient.As a financial coach, my goal is to help others understand their own financial behaviors and how to improve them for financial success. I competed in Junior and Senior High School, College and Masters competitions. I continue to run and race (occasionally) today. My educational background is in physical education and exercise science. I’ve coached at the high school and college levels (briefly) so my competition experience combined with coaching translated to understanding how to help people run further and faster. I can work with you to improve your speed, endurance and racing performance no matter where you are competitively right now.Most of my experience is in the corporate fitness field (40 years) so if you’re a beginner, I can help you build your confidence and ability to run/jog your first 5k to a marathon.We will work together in a manner that works for you. We’ll communicate regularly and if you are local, we can meet for workouts if you desire.Our initial discussion is complementary and fees for further coaching will be discussed depending on your current fitness level, goals and type of coaching (remote vs. in person).

RetiredRetired Sep 2018 - PresentI finally decided to give this a try. My plan is to take some time to relax and figure out what I might want to do next. I'm not sure what that might be and am looking forward to what comes next, no matter what that might be like. After 39 years in the corporate fitness and wellness field, I know I will miss so many people but the memories will help allay that sadness and help me look back fondly on wonderful friends, outstanding professionals and a lot of people a lot smarter than me! Thank you all to those who have been a part of my journey; you have blessed me more than I deserve. This doesn't mean our friendship should end but only that the path we take will look a little different. Feel free to reach out if I can be of any help or you just want to catch up.
