CurrentDirected the finance strategy and global finance operations that helped grow Melaleuca from $410M to $2B over tenure. Currently direct 90+ domestic and global staff in 30+ operating entities across Treasury, FP&A, Tax Accounting and Internal Audit. Full accountability for driving the organization’s short- and long-term liquidity management strategy, annual budgeting, domestic and international audit, global risk management, transfer pricing, shareholder relations, government relations, IC-DISC frameworks and key contract negotiations. • Provided the financial stewardship that increased cumulative pre-tax profits and shareholder value by 14% over a 10-year period (2008 to present) • Developed and executed the strategies to permanently reduce US federal income tax related to profit repatriations to the US through the establishment of five IC-DISC entities • Established and managed new operations, compliance and government relations for each new international entity • Managed all international transfer pricing and ensured that all positions are defendable in each country • Oversee all domestic and international audit activity – leadership includes personally negotiating tax settlements resulting in $63M in corporate benefits• Set and executed the strategy to acquire a manufacturing facility in China – managed complex customs and government issues and negotiated the final deal • Established Treasury processes to process sales and disbursement transactions, manage excess cash and tailor risk management programs to minimize financial exposures• Revamped an existing affinity/co-branded credit card program – negotiated new contact with alternate service provider that increased participation and program revenues • Established Melaleuca Captive Insurance Co. to manage product liability insurance in a controlled company, effectively shifting business income from being subject to top marginal federal income tax rates to a preferred dividend tax rate of 20%
