Thomas Kung is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Chief Risk Compliance Officer (CRCO) at Rakkar Digital, a Singapore-based company backed by SCB 10x and powered by Fireblocks, providing digital asset custodian services to institutions and enterprises. With over a decade of experience, he offers thought leadership, risk advisory, and management consultancy in cybersecurity, data privacy, business resilience, regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk management. Before joining Rakkar Digital, he held the position of Head of Technology and Security Risk Management at Crypto.com, a leading global crypto exchange and payment platform provider. Additionally, he serves as a member of the Cyber Risk Subcommittee at the Singapore Fintech Association (SFA) and the Enterprise Blockchain Subcommittee at the Blockchain Association of Singapore (BAS).Thomas gained solid experience in technology consulting with a leading regional solution integrator and a leading global consulting firm. He primarily engaged in consulting services on security and privacy. Thomas is certified as FRM, CISSP, CCSP, CDPSE, CIPP/E and CIPM. He was admitted as Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP) in 2019. He completed his LLB study in Jun 2020. Thomas possesses strong knowledge in cybersecurity, data protection, technology GRC (governance, risk and compliance) and IT audit with hands-on experience in solution consultation, service delivery and project implementation. Thomas has massive interests in various cybersecurity domains including but not limited to security risk assessment, privacy impact assessment, security and privacy program management, threat hunting, vulnerability management, penetration testing, incident response, digital forensics and e-discovery, security operations and awareness training.
