People are my passion. For nearly 20 years, I have been working in the user experience field with the goal of helping others. Leveraging a diverse toolkit that balances qualitative and quantitative methods, my focus is connecting with customers to understand their goals and generate actionable insights to assist them on their journey. That same commitment and empathy extends to employees. I am a fiercely dedicated leader that embraces recruiting, hiring, development, and the recognition of hard work. I thrive in a team environment where new ideas and innovation are encouraged, all voices are valued, and collaboration is a way of life. I believe in user-centered design, the integrity of data and its role in reducing product risk, and the value of transparency and privacy in all interactions. Along a career path with many twists and turns, I have gained extensive knowledge related to the use of a variety of products, including precision agriculture interfaces, cybersecurity web applications, digital maps, naval helicopters, fighter aircraft, autonomous systems, and ground vehicles. These myriad experiences allow me to effectively adapt to any domain. I enjoy coaching and developing user experience professionals, crafting and executing a strategic vision, and leveraging design diplomacy to remove barriers to progress. I’m currently leading a talented team of engineers, researchers, and designers focused on improving medical devices in the neuromodulation space.
