Thomas Smith assists public and private organizations in identifying technical approaches, processes and solutions, develops public outreach and education campaigns that are environmentally responsible, resource efficient, and promote good stewardship of the world's natural resources.Prior to GSS, Mr. Smith was VP of Engineering for Trinity Green (formerly Paradigm Engineering) and was a member of the executive management team. Prior to joining Paradigm Engineering he functioned in a Water Resources and Conservation Planning role for the San Antonio Water System (SAWS) Water Resources and Conservation Group. Prior to SAWS, he served in the capacity of manager, technical consultant for various businesses, public and private enterprises.Thomas Smith has 25 plus years of professional experience. He has a Master of Business Administration from Our Lady of the Lake University, a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Louisiana State University. Mr. Smith is licensed in multiple states as a Professional Engineer and currently holds the following professional designations of: Board Certified Environmental Engineer, Diplomate Water Resources Engineer, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional, Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control, and Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality. Mr. Smith presently serves on the Board of Directors for the North Texas Groundwater Conservation District and the Denton County Transportation Authority. He is a member of the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) Credentialing Steering Committee (CSC). GBCI was established as a separate entity with the support of the United States Green Building Council. The CSC helps shape the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional Program.
