I have more than 25 years of software and hardware engineering, product development, manufacturing, project management, and corporate leadership experience. I have multiple engineering skills that allow end to end conceptualization and planning for high end systems design, software development, as well as embedded systems development; including management of software, hardware, mechanical and industrial designers. I have entrepreneurial and tech-startup experience through both periods of prosperity, and significant economic challenges. I have personal experience in product development and design: electrical engineering, firmware/software development, PCB layout, direction of industrial/mechanical and plastics design, database/application web based design and development. I have direct development experience with several microprocessors and micro-controllers; C/C++ and assembly language firmware development. Development in multiple high level and low level languages including but not limited to: Forth, C/C++, Java, and Visual Basic (standard/legacy and .NET). Additionally I’ve directly developed with wireless communication protocols on micro-controllers for TCP/IP and UDP protocol implementation. I have also recently developed in PHP, AJAX, and HTML5 for iOS and Android smartphone development. I have a lengthy background in database design and management including secure application interfaces and stored procedure development for MySQL and Microsoft SQL. In addition, I have some IT/NOC related experience with Firewall and VPN setup as well as bandwidth analysis and management; including integration with wireless carriers. I've also worked on IT web application loading analysis and redundancy designs - including development for multiple languages and geographical regions. I also have some experience with patent and trademark filing; holding one patent, and having filed for several additional patents in the near-real-time location tracking market(s).
