I completed my Master's in Engineering at the University of California Berkeley in June of 2022 and working as a metallurgical engineer at Howmet Aerospace. At Berkeley, my M.Eng capstone team and I received the FUNG Technical Leadership Award for our engineering work from the UC Berkeley Coleman Fung Institute for Engineering Leadership. This capstone project investigated an extrusion-based 3D printing process (EAM) of Tool Steels in ambient lab air. We studied the materials science behind the printing process through a D.O.E based iterative approach to optimize the printing process and mechanical properties produced. In June of 2021, I completed my undergraduate education with a Bachelor’s of Science in Materials Engineering from California Polytechnic State University. My dominant interests are in metallurgy, alloy development, structural materials, polymer reinforced composites (PMCs) and metal matrix composites, additive manufacturing, research and development, materials characterization, failure analysis, and mechanical testing.
